The Floatel, while located on the river-side, is
in the heart of business activity in Calcutta. Talking about the City
Skyline, the Floatel Rooms and the Restaurants overlook the colonial
buildings like The Calcutta High Court which was the original Supreme
Court of India founded in 1757, the Town Hall, Central Secretariat
Building and the World famous Eden Gardens - a center of International
Cricket.

The Floatel is accessed by car from the main Strand Road, past
a memorial to James Princep and Calcutta Swimming Club. It is
situated on Strand Road Opposite Head Office of State Bank of
India.
The Floating Hotel could only be in its unique location
thanks to the utmost cooperation of Govt. of India as well as
the State Govt. of West Bengal. No land whatsoever is available
in the business district of Calcutta to build a land hotel with
the equivalent views and river-side charms of The Floatel.
